How We Do It
We acknowledge there is a problem with child-centred pedagogy: a class contains many centres.
Amidst a maelstrom of disaffection and social confusion, the natural instinct to find belonging with peers is misunderstood as ‘low level disruption’. We have a solution.
Our solution is reciprocal: enabling a cohesive and collaborative environment by enlightening every individual with reflexively intense experiences. Transformation of the individual is transformation of the social.
Our rapid intervention workshops transform perception of Algebra or English Literature, and exams of 5 years of knowledge are reframed to a couple of hours of peak performance.
In the long-term, the collective challenge of ABC Classes encourages self-discipline through social-responsibility, unlocking greater social flexibility for independent project-work, effortless group-work and cross-curricular learning.
Metacognitive activities induce a collectively reflexive learning environment, or social lab, where any individual’s learning is reinforced continuously in the moment.
As more aware adults, we untap the natural relational intelligence of our young students to fulfill the potential of everyone.
Invaluable Student Skills
Our flagship Reflexive Learning programs provide immersive curriculum boosters across core subjects like math, language arts, and beyond – catalyzing true metacognitive growth. We also consult on fostering positive school cultures through pastoral mentoring, social-emotional learning, and pioneering methods like ABC Classes for holistic student development. Rounding out our services are EdVentures – enriching extracurricular accelerators spanning debate, cross-curricular passion projects, teamwork, and more.
Practical physical, emotional, social and cognitive skills to stabilise positive learning environments.

Having experienced a chaotic and traumatic upbringing, my students and I create a safe haven of calm and peace through mutual understanding, respect, honesty and kindness. In this time when students are worried about social fragmentation, working collaboratively with students is one of the best things about teaching – and I want to put it at the heart of education.
I bring literature to life. With diminishing numbers of readers, it is important to engage students in the love of reading. As a child from a working class background, I understand struggling to write can be a barrier to learning and I work hard to ensure students enjoy writing creatively and collaboratively.
I invite you to experience the quality of my classes and interview the students.

Having experienced racism as a child, my fascination with relational dynamics led me to social anthropology and treating maths teaching as fieldwork for social cohesion. I created the self-organising framework ABC Classes so that students and teachers escape the tendency to institutionalisation – I want to put genuine relationality first in education.
I bring maths to life. Algebra is a process with three operational parts, no more no less. Kids learn it like they learn to ride a bike. Risky, but simple.
My life’s purpose has led me to write Fulcrum. For a reflexive and academic account of ABC Classes read Volume -2, and maths transformation read Volume-1.
